Christmas and The Great Joy of Christ

Merry Christmas! While Jesus was with Mary in the stables with the animals, the angels came from heaven to bring the most beautiful and delightful message to the world.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” – Luke 2:14

As we learned during a difficult 2020, God will continue to protect us and be with us. If you hear me and are with me, that means even though we have seen all the hard times, we are still here. This is the strongest message that God uses to call every one of us to repent.

When we talk about Christmas, we talk about life, the Christmas tree, Santa, gifts. But this year taught us a lot. We are very fragile as humans. We think we are strong, and very smart people, and knowledgeable people, to the point that nothing can stop us. But the virus taught us a very simple message. We are very weak and sensitive people.

This year proved to all of us how important is the protection of God.

So, since we are here, let’s all glorify God and wish peace and good will towards men.

When the angels came, they told the shepherd, “‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” Luke 2:10-11.

This announcement tells us about great joy, multitudes of people and the savior.

Were people before Christmas without true joy? Yes, they had it, but it was fake, so it was not true joy. Jesus is God who became a man, and this was the great joy. Because when he came, he wanted to restore every single soul from sin. The Lord himself is telling us this is the true joy. Because of this baby, you have an opportunity to enjoy the great happiness and tiding.

This great joy is to all people. Not just a few people. This great joy is for every single one of us. This is the best joy and best news – that Jesus was born for all people. No matter what you have done, your skin color, or your gender – Jesus has come for YOU. For everybody, this great joy has come.

The angels also called Him a Savior, who saves you and saves me. This little boy is the King and Savior of your soul and my soul. This is the day of the birth of salvation for you, me and everyone who accepts Him and believes him.

When Jesus came, he divided history. There was the Old Testament and now New Testament. The Birth of Jesus divided history in this way. The Old Testament referred to the coming of the Messiah. But we now have a New Testament, which speaks of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The occasion of Christmas is the strongest proof for the second coming of Jesus. His birth is the most important proof because the Old Testament predicted the birth, and we believe the New Testament will be a prophecy again.

And also, when Jesus came and the angels said “Glory to God in the highest, peace and good will towards men” for the birth – we must know that the second coming is going to be a little difficult. The second coming will divide the people. The trumpet will sound, and a lot of people who are not believers unfortunately, as the book of Peter says, those people will be put to shame. If you don’t know where you are going, the birth of Christ is a call of hope that the door is still open for you.

But for the second coming, we will be either on the right side or the wrong side. The second coming will be the judgment of the world. During the second coming, He will come as the king of kings and reign over his kingdom.

You still have hope.

Christmas this year has two messages: 1. The door is still open, and 2. you have hope if you come to Him.
