Jesus is the Water of Life – Share it with Love

St. Aphrem said the most important gift that God has given us is the Bible.

When we read the Bible, we should read it at least six days a week. Without it, we will lose comfort, peace, and His happiness. And we will not understand the things in our life. And in church for the 7th day, we will also be in the Word.

For instance, in today’s reading, when Jesus was talking with his disciples, he said the Jesus among us are in those who help.

And “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.” Mark 9:41 – if you do it with all your heart, in love, in my name, God will never forget to reward you for giving this help.

So, Jesus is emphasizing little things like water, but he is showing something mighty. The key is to do it in His name. He also says the same with the mustard seed because if you have this amount of faith, you can move mountains.

He says, don’t give up on yourself. You don’t have to have big things, be rich, have a big family, or be educated. If you give of love, and because you love Him, that little love you have will never ever forgotten or be lost. I will reward you of that, Jesus says.

When Jesus is talking about a little cup of water, He speaks of giving life. The one who can give Jesus to others is the greatest one in the kingdom of God and will be rewarded. Like I said last week, it is easy to see Jesus in good times. And when we go through hard times, we don’t know where to go except Jesus because He is the only one there for us.

Without Jesus, there is no life. Because He is the little water, He will be the source of life for others.

Before you think about anybody else, think of your family. Are you giving them this little bit of Jesus, the living water? And then, are you giving it to others?

We need to understand this is our responsibility to give water. This is spiritual love. If you don’t have love, you will not be able to share it with everybody.

There is heat that we cannot handle. Before our eternity is determined, let’s give our living water to others so they do not suffer from the heat.

You don’t have to be an expert. You just need to share the love of Jesus.
